Twenty ad variants, one winner: AI as your copy test lab

AI's marketing superpower isn't writing one great ad. It's making testing cheap.

After a decade of running Meta ads for DTC brands, my strongest belief: nobody knows which ad wins. Not you, not me, not the AI. Testing knows. AI just makes testing nearly free.

  1. Feed the model your product, audience and three different angles (price, outcome, fear-of-missing-out, social proof…).
  2. Ask for 5 variants per angle — different hooks, not synonyms. Kill the duds by eye; you'll have 8–10 real candidates.
  3. Run them small. Let the click-through and cost data pick 2–3 winners.
  4. Feed results back: "these won, these lost — 10 more like the winners." This loop, repeated weekly, is the entire secret.

The model drafts; the market edits. Businesses that internalize that order stop arguing about taste in meetings.
